August 18th
We went on a long run this morning. It was supposed to be 16 miles. It turned out to be about 17 because we didn't want to go on a busy highway. The hardest part was that we left really late (at about 10:30 so it was SUPER hot). We also had to go up some HUGE hills. I didn't know hills that big existed in the plains of Texas! We were grateful for people who let us fill up our water bottle on the way. The kids were remarkably patient. They pretty much took care of themselves and waited patiently to arrive back home and go to the park. But boy were they excited to get out! Brit is coated in sweat. Tyson burries himself in the couch to rest.
Mac 'n Cheese with plain tuna. He said it hit the spot after the long run.

Making biscuits. What a mess!
Cleaning up the mess.

After an early morning run, Hannah and Hiram play together.

Silly kids! It seems like Hannah and Hiram love being together even more now that we're home. Perhaps because they didn't have nearly as much one on one time together when we were visiting family.

The pile to unpack waiting for us to take care of it on Monday or whenever we have time later on in the week (which is what really happened).
